As we stand on the threshold of a new year, the Tech Assistant for Blind family wishes to extend our warmest wishes to you. The past year has been a journey of growth, innovation, and shared accomplishments, and it fills us with gratitude to have had your unwavering support throughout.

In 2023, our focus was on enhancing accessibility, breaking barriers, and creating a more inclusive digital space for the visually impaired community. Your feedback, engagement, and collaboration were instrumental in our progress, and for that, we express our deepest thanks.

As we step into 2024, our commitment to empowering the visually impaired through technology remains unwavering. We are excited about the possibilities the new year holds and look forward to introducing more features, improvements, and initiatives that cater to your unique needs.

But before we embark on the new possibilities of 2024, let’s reflect on the achievements and downtimes of Tech Assistant for Blind in 2023. Through this data, we can learn and create a new globe of hope for the visually impaired!

Achievements:

  • March-2023: Launched a new website Called techassistantforblind.comfor our community, providing written content except our videos.
  • May-2023: Organized the first offline seminar at the National Association for Blind (NAB) Mumbai, teaching about Android and Windows to NAB students. The event marked a significant success, inspiring us to continue organizing seminars.
  • June-2023: Expanded our reach outside Maharashtra by organizing a seminar in Surat, Gujarat, connecting with new linguistic users and achieving further success.
  • July-2023: Launched the successor of the NAB event with another successful seminar at Niwasi Andh Kalyan Prashikshan & Punarvasan Kendra, Nanded, Maharashtra. Concurrently, our YouTube channel achieved a milestone with 10,000 subscribers.
  • August-2023: Celebrated the organization’s 5th anniversary with various programs, showcasing our commitment and dedication.
  • October-2023: Expanded our seminar series to Madhya Pradesh, organizing an event in Burhanpur. The month concluded with Tech Assistant for Blind becoming the most subscribed visually impaired Hindi YouTube channel globally, reaching 11,000 subscribers.
  • December-2023: Bid farewell to the year with an Antakshari Program, celebrating our achievements and the support of our community.

Downtime:

While not every moment in 2023 was smooth, we faced challenges head-on and appreciate your understanding during downtimes. Here are some notable incidents:

  • May-2023: Experienced a 3-hour website offline due to increased concurrent users; switched to a new host for better server power.
  • August-2023: Faced a 2-hour website downtime due to a large DDoS attack; implemented proper security measures for protection.
  • October-2023: Encountered a 6-hour website downtime; specific details are not disclosed.

As always, your appreciation during downtimes is cherished. Our dedicated team of developers and automated security systems continuously work to report and address any downtime or vulnerability found on our website.

Website Achievements:

Delving into the exciting realm of our website’s achievements, we’ve witnessed incredible growth and engagement:

  • May-2023: Reached 10,000 visitors on our website within 2 months of its launch.
  • August-2023: Surpassed 100,000 visitors, thanks to your incredible support. Share our content with your loved ones to help us become the most viewed website for the visually impaired.
  • December-2023: Crossed the milestone of 200,000 visitors with a consistent concurrent user base of 150+.
  • Our pages and articles indexed on Google over 400,000+ times with a 94.2% click-through rate, demonstrating the authenticity and quality of our content.
  • Maintained a 75% increase in users from each month in 2023 at Google Search Console.
  • Uploaded over 60GB of audiobooks on our website, thanks to the generosity of book donors. If you’re a book donor, we invite you to share your content to help visually impaired individuals in their studies.
  • Our website processed over 120,000+ search queries, showcasing the interest of our users in finding valuable information.

Once again, Happy New Year, everyone! At Tech Assistant for Blind, we’ve experienced numerous achievements and downtimes. Not all times were good, but we strive to provide the best possible solutions to you, regardless of the circumstances.

Huge thanks to our amazing community! Without your support, we wouldn’t be able to achieve anything. In 2024, we’ll aim for the next level by providing new books, audio contents, articles, etc., and one day, we’ll break records for the visually impaired.
