ChatGPT Gets Powerful Updates

OpenAI recently rolled out several new features for ChatGPT:

  • File Processing: You can now upload and analyze PDFs, spreadsheets, text files, and images.
  • Content Creation: Easily create and download documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more within ChatGPT.
  • Python Integration: Run Python code directly in ChatGPT and see real-time results.
  • DALL-E Integration: Generate up to two images daily using DALL-E.

Voice Assistant Update

  • OpenAI Testing Advanced Voice Mode: OpenAI is testing a new multimodal voice assistant for ChatGPT called "Advanced Voice Mode." This feature provides natural-sounding speech and real-time responses, eliminating the need for traditional text-to-speech cycles. It is currently available to a limited group of ChatGPT Plus subscribers, with a broader rollout expected by the end of fall.

  • Google Gemini Live Assistant Released: Google has launched "Gemini Live," a multimodal voice assistant available through the Gemini app. This assistant offers features similar to ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode and is available to Google One AI premium subscribers. Accessibility in Mobile Apps

  • Airtel Thanks App Partially Accessible: Airtel, India's telecom giant, is making strides in accessibility. The home screen and profile sections of their Airtel Thanks app are now fully accessible, with more features to follow in the coming months.

Reliance AGM Updates (August 29th):

  • Jio Call AI: Jio is introducing Jio Call AI, which allows users to initiate conference calls via a phone number, record the conversation, and upload it to Jio cloud storage. You can then transcribe or translate the audio using Jio AI.

  • Free Jio Cloud Storage: All Jio users will receive 100GB of free cloud storage until Diwali.

  • Jio Data Domination: Jio has become the world's highest data transmission company, with over 38 exabytes of data transferred this year.

  • Jio Home App – Coming Soon: Jio plans to launch a "Jio Home" app, allowing users to control all IoT devices from a single dashboard. Stay tuned for more details.

  • TRAI Takes Action on Spam SMS: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has mandated that all telecom operators block promotional SMS messages containing phone numbers or external links that are not registered with the DLT registry. This requires complete message templates to be registered before sending.
