as we bid farewell to the familiar Gmail basic HTML view which is discontinued by Google in February, we acknowledge the need to prepare for the future. The transition posed a challenge for many, especially those relying on screen readers for accessibility.
On Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., we hosted an informative session, delving into the details of Gmail’s Standard View. This webinar aimed to provide valuable insights, with a particular focus on supporting individuals using screen readers such as NVDA or Jaws.
What was covered in the webinar:
• Explored the hidden gems within Gmail’s Standard View.
• Learned tricks and keyboard shortcuts to enhance your user experience.
• Navigated efficiently using screen readers.
We appreciate everyone who joined us for this session, contributing to its success. Stay tuned for more engaging events in the future as we continue to explore and adapt to the evolving digital landscape.
